Sixth Form Subject Choices
We work hard to help you get the best results you can. Our efforts pay off – our exam results are consistently outstanding.
We also go the extra mile to help you prepare for your life after Sexey’s. In Summer 2023 52% of our students progressed to Russell Group universities, with 88% being awarded a place at a university destination of their choice. We can also help with apprenticeships and more – our careers page ‘student area’ is regularly updated with work experience and apprenticeship opportunities.
In 2023 students progressed to Oxford University, Cambridge University, University of York, Bristol University to name a few. Please see below our leavers destinations for 2023.
In terms of our curriculum, we offer 22 A Level and vocational qualifications of which students typically choose three at the start of Year 12, with many electing to do the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) alongside their studies.
Below is a full list of the subjects that we currently offer or you can select a subject from the menu bar on the left. Please read on to explore what is studied and what is involved. Our minimum entry requirement to study at Sexey’s Sixth is five Level 5s including English and Mathematics, but some subjects require you to obtain a higher level, as specified in the subject pages.
For 2024/2025 we are delighted to be adding Law to our list of A Level subjects.
You will find below our subject options for students starting in the 2024/2025 academic year. Students are required to select three subjects, for BTEC Sports Science students are only required to chose one other subject due to this being a double award.
