Purchasing uniform

All items marked by an asterisk (*) in the clothing list below can be purchased via our online uniform supplier, Stevensons, at the link here.

Please note that only the five items listed below are compulsory to have the school branded logo. Stevensons does sell further branded items but please be aware you may find cheaper non-branded versions of these at other retailers.

Second-hand uniform is available from the school Uniform Shop. If you would like to check if an item is available from the Uniform Shop please contact Mrs Masters on 01749 814101 or email admissions@sexeys.somerset.sch.uk.

All donations received from the sale of clothes goes to the Friends of Sexey’s School.

Please note that the only school branded items that are compulsory are as follows:

  • School Blazer (Autumn and Spring Term)
  • School Tie
  • Skirt/Kilt
  • Unisex Colour House Reversable Rugby Shirt
  • Burgundy Polo Shirt (Summer Term)

Gender neutral uniform

All uniform is gender neutral and skirts and trousers may be worn by either female or male students. PE kit will be identified as the kit needed for a sport played rather than the student’s gender.

Autumn and Spring Terms

  • Black school blazer – with embroidered badge*
  • Kilt* (worn on or below the knee) or black formal trousers* with a straight leg and crease down the centre of the leg. Trousers should not be skinny, slim or bootleg. They should be polyester, not chino or denim.
  • White long-sleeved shirts
  • Black long-sleeved V-neck jumper – to wear under blazer when cold – lightweight and plain knit*
  • Short black socks – or thick black tights
  • School tie*
  • Black formal, flat shoes with leather look/style and from Sept 2025 plain leather look trainers (must be all black with no colour or logos) – examples of acceptable and non-acceptable footwear can be seen here

Summer Term

  • Kilt*, black formal trousers* with a straight leg and crease down the centre of the leg. Trousers should not be skinny, slim or bootleg. For Summer Term 2026 tailored knee length black shorts (must be no more than 2 inches above the knee). Trousers and shorts should be polyester, not chino or denim.
  • School maroon Polo shirts* (worn tucked in)
  • Short black socks or black tights (optional)
  • Black formal, flat shoes with leather look/style and from Sept 2025 plain leather look trainers (must be all black with no colour or logos) – examples of acceptable and non-acceptable footwear can be seen here
