A Level Geography Field Trip to Slapton Ley
Our Year 12 A Level Geography students recently enjoyed a fantastic residential field trip to Slapton Ley Field Studies Centre in Devon, helping to prepare them for their independent A Level coursework investigation.
Students worked hard throughout the trip, undertaking coastal fieldwork to develop the skills needed to collect and analyse data for their coursework. Visits to Plymouth explored urban regeneration, while time in Totnes allowed students to investigate the town’s distinctive character and sense of place.
Alongside the academic focus, there was time to enjoy the stunning surroundings, with evenings spent around campfires on the beach, toasting marshmallows under the watchful eye of an inquisitive seal!
Students were exceptional throughout — hardworking, enthusiastic and a credit to the school. A great time was had by all, and the experience will undoubtedly support students as they begin planning their coursework projects.
