Spring Newsletter 2024
Welcome to our Spring End of Term Newsletter! We’re so pleased to be able to showcase some of the work that students have been doing this term. While our GCSE and A Level students have been working hard on their mock exams, the rest of the school has been busy with a multitude of extracurricular activities.
It was lovely to celebrate the success of so many students in a celebration assembly from Sport success to Maths success and I was delighted to award over 160 Courage core value badges, as well as Forgiveness, Honesty and Empathy badges. We had so many students achieve core value awards we decided to award these four categories this term and the others will be presented after half term.
This term we’ve had successes in Rugby, with both our Year 8’s winning the Bowl Final and we’ve also had a number of individual sporting achievements, congratulations to Immy, Abi and Lilly on your success this term. You can read more about their achievements below.
On the 8th March we celebrated International Women’s Day in school by holding up the women we have in our lives who inspire us. Thank you to Mrs Johnstone for creating the video and to all our staff and students who took part. The video can be viewed on our YouTube channel.
We are back next term with some fundraising events including our first Country Fair on Saturday 27th April from 9am to 1pm. We have a number of stands secured selling homemade and knitted items, jewellery, handbags, baked goods and more… If you are a local trader or are you having a spring clean at home and have items to sell, you can be part of our event and book a car boot or indoor and outdoor pitch/trade stand. I wish you all a happy and restful Easter holiday.
