We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding A Level results achieved by our students. Their hard work, intellectual curiosity, and commitment to learning have led to well-deserved success. Many of our students will go on to top universities, while others will pursue pathways that reflect their aspirations and strengths. Each journey is valued, and we are confident they leave us equipped not only with excellent academic foundations but with the adaptability and purpose to thrive in a changing world.

Mr Clayson, Headteacher, shared “Congratulations to the Year 13 students and their teachers who have worked hard and deserve these super results.  Their commitment and determination they have shown throughout their time in Sixth Form has paid off and they should be incredibly proud of what they have achieved.

Today is an opportunity to celebrate their individual successes and the progress they have made. I hope they enjoy this moment and take great confidence from their achievements as they move on to the next stage of their education or the first steps in employment.  For many, this will be the start of their university or apprenticeship journey.

This year we continue to see exceptionally high numbers of our students accessing a place in their first or second choice university.  This is due to the high-quality advice and guidance that they receive from the team at Sexey’s Sixth Form. We wish every one of our Year 13 students every success for the future and look forward to hearing about all that they go on to achieve.”

We have an unrelenting commitment to high-quality teaching and learning at Sexey’s School and we are very proud that we have so many high performing A level courses. Sexey’s Sixth Form prides itself in the string staff and student relationships which underpin the high-quality teaching and learning.  This year the school celebrates 100% A*-C in the following subjects:

• Religious Studies
• Physical Education
• Photography
• Art

Other high performing subjects included:  Further Maths (86% A*-C), Biology (81% A*-C), Psychology (80% A*-C), History (80% A*-C) and English Literature (80% A*-C) . These achievements also highlight the breadth and strength of our curriculum offer.

In addition to A Levels, students at Sexey’s Sixth have the opportunity to complete an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), allowing them to broaden their studies, develop independent research skills and gain additional UCAS points to support their future education and career progression. This year, an impressive 100% of students who completed the EPQ achieved grades of A* to B.

The top three highest attaining students this year were:

• Isabella Welshman achieved A*, A*, A, A and will be taking a gap year before applying to study Medicine
• Ellie Bealing achieved A*, A*, A and will be studying Law at the University of Warwick
• Ashay Large achieved A*, A, B and will be studying Politics and International Relations at SOAS University of London

Morley Humberston has also attained a place to study History at Cambridge University, following A*s in History, Politics and his EPQ on American History and Politics.

Mr McLeish Head of Sixth Form was delighted to join students on results day and celebrate their excellent results and said “This has been a fantastic group of young people, and we will miss them and the contribution they have made to our school community. We wish them every success as they take the next step in their lives, using everything they have learned in their time here.”
