Spring Newsletter 2026
As we reach the end of a busy and rewarding Spring term, I am delighted to reflect on the many achievements and successes across our school community. There is certainly much to celebrate, and I continue to be incredibly proud of the commitment, enthusiasm and talent demonstrated by our students.
Our Year 11 and Year 13 students have recently completed their mock examinations, and it has been inspiring to see the focus and determination with which they have approached this important stage in their academic journey. With their final examinations fast approaching next term, I encourage them to maintain this momentum as they work towards achieving the results that will support their future aspirations and career pathways.
I would also like to extend my warmest congratulations to all students who have applied to university this year. The offers received are a testament to your hard work and ambition, and we are extremely proud of each and every one of you.
This term has also been rich in creative and extracurricular achievements. Our school production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Jr and the Easter Concert were both outstanding showcases of student talent. The dedication, teamwork and countless hours of preparation behind these performances were evident, and the results were truly exceptional.
Beyond the classroom, students have embraced a range of exciting opportunities, including the ski trip to Italy and the Psychology and Maths trip to Paris. These experiences play a vital role in broadening horizons and enriching learning.
I am particularly proud of our Year 12 STEM Ambassadors who, as part of Science Week, visited four of our local primary schools. Their enthusiasm and passion for science made a lasting impression on younger students and reflects the leadership and community spirit we value so highly.
With so many individual and collective achievements, we are now pleased to be sharing more of these successes in our weekly newsletters—there is simply so much to celebrate.
Looking ahead to next term, I encourage you to join us for our ever-popular Sexey’s Quiz Night on Thursday 14th May. It promises to be an enjoyable evening, so do gather your teams and take part.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
Mr S Clayson
