We have two union representatives in school, one for NEU and one for NASUWT. Both representatives meet with the Headteacher and Director of HR for 2 hours per term. In 2020, the NEU and NASUWT union representatives additionally attended two meetings in November 2020 totaling two hours.

This procedure in line with KCSIE September 2021 is used for dealing with allegations of abuse made against staff. Staff include those working in or on behalf of the school, boarding and sixth form, in paid or unpaid capacity, this includes, members of staff, supply teachers, volunteers and contractors.

The purpose of this policy is to ensure the school recruits and selects staff and volunteers of the highest calibre and quality, whilst identifying people who might abuse, or be otherwise unsuited to work with, children and young people, thereby rejecting unsuitable candidates or deterring them from applying.

Volunteers at our school bring with them a range of skills and experience that can enhance the learning opportunities of students. The Board of Governors therefore, welcomes and encourages volunteers from the local community.

We are committed to conducting our business with honesty and integrity, and we expect all staff to maintain high standards in accordance with our Code of Conduct.
