Learning Support Assistant – Fixed-term for one year
We have an unrelenting commitment to be exceptional in all that we do
We are seeking to appoint a highly dedicated individual to join our committed Special Educational Needs team. Candidates must have experience of working with children with special educational needs, excellent literacy and numeracy skills and able to be adaptable and creative in finding ways of delivering knowledge and skills to students. A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification and training related to visual impairment and speech and language needs would be an advantage but is not essential. An organised approach to work, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish positive relationships with pupils and staff are all important qualities. The role is 32.5 hours per week during term-time only and fixed-term for one year in the first instance.
Our students are a delight to work with: they are articulate, hardworking, well-motivated and display our 7 core values in the way that they treat each other. We pride ourselves on our positive staff/student relationships. Sexey’s School has a strong team of staff who are caring, supportive and working with a ‘determination to be exceptional in all that we do’.
In return, we offer excellent CPD opportunities, a supportive staff body and the opportunity to work in a high performing State Boarding School.
Closing Date: Monday 16th May
Early applications are strongly encouraged and we reserve the right to close the advert should we feel able to appoint an appropriate candidate before the above dates
