Senior Houseparent: Lucy O’Donnell
After a successful career in floristry, my family relocated to Somerset when my husband (a teacher) was offered a job in a boarding school. I can remember my time as a student in boarding and have always appreciated the unique impact residential education can have on developing young people – and the lifelong friendships that come from living with each other. As my three children grew up, I joined Sherborne Prep School as a Teaching Assistant, ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) and Art Teacher. My son became a boarder at Sexey’s in 2023, and I am delighted to join the community as the Houseparent of Coombe. My family, Bruno (our cat) and Teddy and Edward (our guinea pigs) – are looking forward to making Coombe House a home from home for young people boarding for the first time.
Matron: Mrs S Hole
Stacie has been an invaluable member of the Sexey’s community for the past 12 years, with her extensive experience, she has recently taken on the role of overseeing both Coombe House as well as Lisbury House. In this capacity, Stacie oversees the daily operations of both houses, working closely with her domestic teams and house parents to ensure the smooth running of each.
Her primary focus remains on the health and well-being of the boarders in her care, always prioritizing their needs and ensuring they have a supportive and safe environment. Stacie’s wealth of knowledge makes her a vital link between the boarding and school communities, and she consistently goes the extra mile for the students.
Stacie is also a proud parent, with a daughter in Year 11 and a son in year 9. Her long-standing commitment to the school and her role as a trusted Matron reflect her dedication to both her work and the students she cares for. Stacie is often seen out running, enjoying the opportunity to stay active and clear her mind.
