Sexey’s student accepted at prestigious dance school
Year 12 student Jemima S has been accepted onto the BA Hons Degree in Ballet and Contemporary Dance at Rambert School in London.
Jemima, an incredibly committed and talented dancer, will leave Sexey’s a year early to join Britain’s oldest dance company.
Fuelled by innovation and creativity, Rambert School plays a key part in the professional dance sector, shaping new generations of dance professionals to the highest standard.
Rambert School alumni are currently dancing at high-profile dance companies around the world. Graduates also include some of the most significant British choreographers of our time, including Frederick Ashton, Arielle Smith, Antony Tudor and Christopher Bruce and have found success with their own companies, such as Mark Bruce Company and The London Ballet Company.
Rambert graduates have gone on to be nominated for Olivier awards, Golden Globes and have gone on to win accolades such as BBC Young Dancer, Critics’ Circle Dance awards and Tony awards.
Jemima said “I would like to say a big thank you to Mrs Cullen and all the staff at Sexey’s who have supported me through my training over the last 5 years! I’m really looking forward to starting my next chapter this September so once again thank you to everyone!”
