Big Yellow Friday – 4th March 2022
The school was awash with yellow on Friday 4th March as students and staff celebrated Big Yellow Friday and fundraised for The Children’s Liver Disease Foundation.
For the ninth consecutive year, Sexey’s has supported this cause alongside Tilly, the eldest child of two former pupils who met in Sexey’s Sixth Form, who had a life-saving liver transplant at 10 months old. To date the school has raised more than £40k by holding coffee mornings, raffles and bake sales.
This year students attended school wearing items of yellow ranging from scarfs and socks to jumpers and full-length coats.
Sixth Form students supported the event by selling yellow cupcakes made by our fantastic kitchen and dining team and raffle tickets to win some great prizes including a Nintendo Switch, F1 Merchandise and Amazon vouchers. Congratulations to everyone who won a prize!
We are delighted to have raised £1,111 towards this very worthy cause and if you’ve not yet donated you can still do so here.
A big thank you to Mr Hill who organised the raffle and non-uniform day and to our current sixth form students for their support.
We would also like to thank everyone who bought tickets, all who wore yellow and especially the companies who donated the great prizes.
