Charity cycling hero!

Charity cycling hero!

Year 10 student Freddie G has completed a very impressive 226 mile, three-day charity bike ride from Mere to Lands End. He undertook the ride in September alongside his father, uncle, and some friends, and has now confirmed that they have raised an extraordinary total of £37,000 for Target Ovarian Cancer and Children with Cancer UK in memory of his mother, who very sadly passed away during lockdown. Student holds two cheques made out to cancer charities for £18500 each

Commenting on the charity bike ride Freddie said, “The hardest bit was definitely getting over the Devon hills! But the sense of achievement and having done something to help at the end made it all very worthwhile. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported us as we completed this ride, both by donating money for this very important cause, and for cheering us on.”

Commenting, Mrs Cullen said, “One of our School’s seven core values is Resilience and Freddie has demonstrated that he has this characteristic in spades. Well done Freddie, we are tremendously proud of you, as we know your mum would be.”
