S.A.F.E. Day: 16 Oct
We are currently planning our first S.A.F.E day (Support and Advice for Everyone). This will be held in School on Wednesday 16 October 2019.
The S.A.F.E day will run throughout the school day. It will be based in the Main Hall with stands held by a variety of agencies, staff and students. We will have a market stall environment where students are able to engage with the market stall holders. They will receive information and advice regarding keeping themselves safe. The format will allow them to ask questions and seek guidance about a number of subjects and issues.
The students will complete booklets and will need to find out key information whilst in the hall.
There will also be workshops running throughout the day providing students with opportunities to consolidate their learning experiences around safety and keeping themselves safe.
Agencies that have already agreed to support this event include: the Police, NHS mental health, NHS SWISH service, Reach Youth, Escape line, School nursing team, 2BU and Somerset and Children’s Social Care.
