On Saturday 12th June 2010, three generations of the family of Mr W A Knight, the founding Headmaster paid an informal visit to the school.
They were able to tour the former headmaster house, now the music department, and see the actual room in which one of their relatives was born, and went to see the portarit of W A Knight which hangs in the school corridors.

The current headmaster showed them the original cane used by "Wacker" Knight (which is only used these days as a ceremonial token on the hand over of Headmastership) and ensured them that he will continue to keep the memory of the founder of the school alive and continue to look after the school whilst it is in his tenure.
