Sexey’s School is a boarding and day school that aspires to provide high quality education for all its students.

At Year 7 our intake comprises of 25 day students and 50 boarders. In the Sixth Form we do not have an admClassroomissions number and most of our Sixth Formers are day students, coming from a very wide area extending beyond Frome in the north and Yeovil in the south. We have strong links with the local community, and these will undoubtedly grow over the years when we become a Specialist Humanities College.

Sexey's School has over 280 boarders, which makes us a major State boarding school. Our boarding facilities and the rhythms of the day, the week and the term reflect this emphasis. We offer a full boarding programme which brings considerable benefits not only in education but also long term life skills. Sexey's School will always remain one of the leading State boarding schools in terms of size and provision, and we will continue to regard ourselves as a specialist boarding school, maintaining the highest level of provision and care for our boarders at all times. The opportunity for social and personal development which boarding affords is a driving force of the school and will continue to determine our ethos for all our students.

We offer a wide range of GCSE subjects and have a proven record of success. In 2011 80% of our students gained 5 or more A* - C grades at GCSE, 73% including Mathematics and English, and the average point score at A Level exceeded 363, placing the school high up in the league tables nationally and locally. A large number of Sexey’s students continue into the Sixth Form to take AS and A Levels. Sexey's Sixth Form, with over 160 students, is able to provide an excellent choice of courses and a variety of activities and opportunities for leadership. Nearly all our Sixth Form students go on to Higher Education, with the majority securing places on the courses of their choice.
