Teacher of Sociology – Part-time
We are looking for a committed and inspirational Teacher of Sociology. It is important that you are passionate about ensuring all students reach their full potential and are inspired to learn independently. The successful candidate will be an outstanding teacher, have a passion for learning and a tireless commitment to challenging and inspiring students to maximise their achievement. The subject is amongst the most popular and successful in the Sixth Form. You should be well qualified and keen to be involved in the wider life of a busy boarding school. The precise nature of the timetable is open to some flexibility but will have an approximate FTE of 0.4 to 0.7.
The ability to take on some Key Stage 3 Religious Studies would be considered an advantage or the post could be combined with a vacant A-level Psychology teaching post.
In return we offer a shorter academic year (36 weeks) and the possibility of low-cost single accommodation if desired by the successful candidate.
