
Academic study in years 11, 12 and 13 is important to all the students and a structured study and prep timetable is in place and they are all encouraged not only to use the study time wisely but also to balance this with some leisure activities. Sporting facilities are provided on the main school site and the local rugby clubs offer training for the senior boys.
The weekends at Lisbury take on a more relaxed feel as the majority of students are weekly boarders and travel home for the weekend. The remaining full boarders have the opportunity to go shopping to Bath or Bristol or the house may organise trips such as horse riding, ice skating, go karting or numerous other activities.
Senior pupils are able to do prep in their dormitories in the evening. GCSE and A level examinations effect all the students in Lisbury House and academic study is important to all of them. This is balanced by suitable leisure time activities. Students may make use of all the sporting facilities during the weekday evenings and n the weekends, In addition to these, some senior boys undergo regular training with both a local rugby and soccer club and play a significant part in their fixtures
Once the House routine is established pupils and staff work together to ensure the smooth running of the house. As in any boarding house there are rules and guidelines to ensure pupils know what is expected of them. Staff Senior pupils are encouraged to prioritise their many activities. are always present on site to talk to pupils about any problems they might have.
