Lisbury House

A co-ed boarding house opened in 1984, Lisbury houses over eighty boarders. Its students are proud owners of chickens and bunny rabbits, and they tend them carefully. You can follow Lisbury’s news on Twitter @LisburyHouse.

Meet the Houseparents

Housemaster:  Mr Danny Golden

Mr Golden is also Pastoral Support Assistant in the school and has a great rapport with the students who come to him with their problems both in school and in the boarding house. A keen sportsman and traveller to far-flung places, he can also be found on the slopes, taking part in the colour runs, knocking a ball about or organising a boarding trampolining trip to Bristol’s Airhop – generally, he enjoys the trips even more than the students!

Housemistress: Mrs Serena Golden

Mrs Golden is a keen traveller who loves to explore different counties and cultures. She enjoys long walks with her two spaniels and inventing new bakes and cakes in her kitchen. She is a very approachable and loving person with a wealth of knowledge in SEN and Education. Mrs Golden is also a keen gym goer, maths wizard, quiz participator and is always up for a bit of healthy competition!

Matron (and Senior Staff Relief): Mrs Kathy Arnold

Mrs Arnold is the students’ first port of call for their every day living requests and they see her as ‘like our mum’.

Assistant Housemaster: Mr Kristan Dodge

Mr Dodge has a degree in Graphic Design, he has lots of creativity and a passion for art. He wishes to inject some of his creativity into boarding and is always keen to get the students involved.

Assistant Housemistress: Miss Abigail Davis

Miss Davis enjoys the outdoors and is a keen animal lover who loves riding horses as well as long country walks with her dog. She is currently studying psychology in her spare time.
