Humanities in the Community

We have a strong vision of Sexey's as a Humanities College which seeks to develop engaged, highly motivated students in a caring, humane environment who achieve as well as they could anywhere in the world. As a relatively high performing school we seek to share what has worked at Sexey’s but also increase our collaboration with other schools and institutions. In becoming a Humanities College we will make possible experiences which have not been available in the past. Within three years we want to look back at the awarding of specialist status as a catalyst for the improvement of standards, increasing personalisation of learning and ever increasing levels of engagement and contentment for all of our students. We want to develop as an outward looking school playing a pivotal role in furthering learning opportunities and community cohesion in Bruton and the surrounding areas.
