Headteacher’s Weekly Notes 13.04.18
The summer term has begun well with students returning to school in their summer uniform and adhering well to our expectations around behaviour. We introduced the new entry and exit routines for classrooms and learning spaces this week and students have responded well.
On other matters, you will now have the official news that Sexey’s boarding provision is no longer judged to be ‘inadequate”. It is in the ‘requiring improvement to good’ category. This is excellent news for the school community and affirms all of the hard work undertaken in recent months to secure this judgement. We are not complacent however and realise that there is more work to be done. Our boarding staff are already addressing the identified areas of improvement in the report.
Next week we have the second round of Headteacher interviews. We had 23 applications in total and we have a strong field to interview. Interviews are on Monday and Tuesday of next week. I will keep you informed of any outcomes as soon as I can.
