Headteacher’s weekly notes 16.03.18

We were delighted to welcome the students and staff back from the Paris trip after the snow had postponed it. Mrs Harris-Urwin said that the children were exemplary in their good behaviour and everyone had a fabulous time. My thanks go to the staff for re organising the trip under very challenging circumstances and in very short time frames. I also want to thank those parents who showed great patience and support for the school whilst we ensured the trip could go ahead.
Today was the Sexey’s tradition of ‘Big Yellow Friday’, a charity fundraiser to support the Children’s Liver Disease Foundation. Everyone came dressed in yellow and got involved in the community spirit. Sexey’s School at its best!
This week we had the passing of a key figure in many people’s lives; Dr Stephen Hawking at the age of 76. His life is testament to what can be achieved if you remain curious. A strong message for all of us.
