Headteacher’s Weekly Notes 09.03.18
We have had a busy week returning from our snow days and establishing normality. My thanks go to the boarding staff for their quality of care in challenging circumstances (although the children loved the snow!)
You will be aware that this week we had a full Ofsted inspection of our boarding provision, which had been rated as inadequate in October 2016. I am delighted to say that the inspectors gave us a very positive judgement, which is an improvement on last time and indicated rapid progress since September of last year. The full report will be available in approximately 4 weeks.
It is heart-warming to see Sexey’s regain the reputation it rightly deserves as a centre for quality care of children in boarding provision.
As regards the recruitment of a new Headteacher for Sexey’s, unfortunately we were unsuccessful in our first attempt. We will however be advertising this side of Easter and are hopeful of a good outcome. We will keep you updated.
The postponed PSA Spring Ball has been given a new date of Saturday 29 September, please do attend this wonderful event.
Enjoy the lighter evenings and warmer temperatures!
